My dad asked me where I wanted to go for dinner with the family on my birthday. I thought for a while and told him that I actually did not want to go anywhere and would rather stay at home and cook for them.
Before, I used to think that cooking was too complicated and difficult. I cooked, but only when I needed to (in another word, I cooked only for survival haha), and never as a hobby or a fun activity. But luckily, things has changed. (Thanks to Sachiko-san 🙂 ) During my stay in Heart N Tree, I learned that cooking could be quite simple and easy. And yes! With much fun and satisfaction too!
Because I was too busy cooking and forgot to tell Ana to set up the table with forks and knifes, we had our dinner with chopsticks instead 😛 Eating some Spanish dishes, Thai salad, Indian curry in the Chinese way… Can I call this fusion too?!? hehe
So this is what I made for the night — seafood paella, gazpacho, thai vermicelli salad, tandoori curry chicken, and sangria (i didn’t make the bread but just bought it in a bakery)
Thank u for being my guinea pigs 😀
Since it’s my first time making most of these dishes, I didn’t dare to invite too many friends to the party… ok! Walter, I promise you that there will be another party with paella n gazpacho, and you will definitely be invited next time 😉
